Load binders must be properly operated by a trained professional only. First your load binder should well lubricated with the proper petroleum based product. Never operate the load binder while someone is on the load this may cause you ar them to fall and incur serious bodily harm. When applying the binder, always position the load binder so the handle is tightened in a downward manner. Failure to do so may result in sudden snapping back of the lever which might result in serious injury or death. Load Binders are meant to be operated by hand this makes them very dangerous. Be sure not to lose balance by standing on a steep incline or rough surface. Load binders are also designed to be tightened to the approximate Working Load Limit which is a very important safety fact. You use load binders by a substantial hand effort. Never ever use a handle extension or a tool to increase the tension. Extensions can severely damage the binder system and result in your serious injury or death. Load binders can carry so much force if it is misused it would be like getting in a car accident going 80 miles an hour head on. Be very carefull when using a load binder.
