How heavily coated is each wire rope from old coatings that have been applied or environmental contaminants.
(This helps us determine whether Groove Cleaners will be beneficial). New wire ropes do not initially require the use of Groove Cleaners.

Example: burrs, broken strands, rough with surface rust, smooth with no broken strands.
